Why did I choose my major?
When I was little, I wanted to be an architect. I have a memory of my mom and I going to different architecture events and spending the entire day drawing and making models of houses. At the age of 17, I received a scholarship to go on an exchange to Italy for 10 months. I was extremely happy and eagerly anticipating the opportunity to see and learn about Italian architecture. I had to attend a humanistic school there and I learn about psychology, sociology and anthropology. While I started to enjoy studying all that stuff, my future as an architect became more distant and vague. Beside that, I search information about scholarships to study there at Politecnico di Milano". I even started studying for the admission test. Back in Santiago, after taking the PAES test, I started searching for a major in humanities. I ended up conversing with a social work professor at Universidad de Chile. After that conversation and a little research, I was convinced that social work was the perfect major for me. Now I'm happy to say that I really love my major.
